This may take a couple of posts, I know you can only do four images a post.

Re: Picture's Of Your Nascar Collection

Thanks, sorry for the cob webs in the one pic! It is a weekend project to dust the cars off! I went down as soon as I saw how that looked and hit that spot, and all along those top shelves with a quick dusting, just running a swiffer along them!

That has taken about 17 years to build, but I have also sold a few over the years. I just got rid of 16 Dale Jr pieces, and also got rid of some Dale Sr stuff, and one Jimmy Johnson car. I guess I have sold about 40 of my cars over the last five years. There are still about 270 or so down there, and I forgot to get my Fiances stuff from the office! Kind of funny, since I'm sitting here posting from the desk!

There are 41 funny cars, 11 top fuel, 9 pro stocks, and 4 more NASCAR die cast up here as well!

I still love to play, I just don't play much in teh summer! As you can see from one of the pics, I own a motorcycle, so I'm out putting mles on that from about late March until November. During the winter I only get out when it gets into the mid 40's or so!

That wireless controller is great! I can just lay back the La-Z-boy and play NASCAR, NHL, Madden, Need for Speed, and whatever else in comfort!

Re: Picture's Of Your Nascar Collection

Very cool! You've got some good stuff there. I've pretty much stopped over the three years or so. I have only gotten about 10 cars in that time.

I limit myself to just my faves now.

Bobby Labonte
Tony Stewart
Kevin Harvick

I am even thinking of packing up about 50 or so of the cars that are out now, just so I can put a bigger variety of sports stuff out!

Right now it looks like racing is really my only interest. I love racing, but I'm also a big Phillie's and Flyers fan, and I'd like to grow that part a bit!

Re: Picture's Of Your Nascar Collection

Thanks Phils ! You do have an awesome collection there . My b/f and I also only collect of our favorite's. He collect's Dale Sr and Tony . I collect Davey,Kenny and Carl. Yes there is a Jamie cardboard cutout ,but thats about it . We do have a few BIG stand up's of Sr, Brian Vickers and Michael Waltrip ,but they are put up due to lack of room.

And I know what you mean about dusting. I pick up each piece and dust it and the shelves . Its an all day job thats for sure.

What would you say that your most prized piece or pieces are ? As for me I have a race used Texaco pit wall banner from when Kenny Irwin drove the #28 car . It still has the grime and goo on it that I bought off of Ebay for $15.00 . It's about the length of 2 normal size room's .I also value my 2 lug nut's .One from the #28 car and the other from when Mike Wallace drove the #52 truck for Ken Schrader, a can of Davey Allison's chili . (YES ,chili ! ), an Alabama Gang hat that I bought in Hueytown ,Alabama and its kinda silly but I have a necktie autographed by Mike Wallace that I picked up at a Racing Wives Auxiliary rummage sale in North Carolina.
