| Re: Newman~Haas Bids To Buy Yates Being a Yates fan I really hate it that the team has pretty much went down hill since the loss of Davey in 1993. Robert Yates has been under a lot of stress and even been in the hospital due to ulcer's.I think that he is going to or already has handed the shop reign's over to his son Doug . I say this even as a fan of a Roush driver ,that being when Yates and Roush joined forces in the engine department I figured that BOTH team's would be very successful .Instead while Roush has thrived ,Yates now runs at the back of the pack I pray that this will bring the team back to life. |

Newman?Haas has a car in Cup Lite with Kyle Krisaloff (I believe) driving. Maybe this will be his step up to Cup? As\Alice said as she stepped through the looking glass, "Things just keep getting curiouser and curiouser."

(1) He put Doug Yates in a position that he wasn't suited for, and (2) He lost Todd Parrott. Davey was a horrible personal loss for Robert but Ernie put him back on the map in relatively short order. Just MNSVHO. |
