Great Job Duck!
thanks BBW .. you see, when I was (much) younger, I was very shy .. couldn't hardly get 2 words out of me at one time. then when I turned 40 I found out God gave me a certain number of words to use in my life and I'm so far behind I won't be able to die until I'm at least a hun'ert. but I'm doin' my best to catch up. you obviously knew the plan all along and are doin' it right.

didn't know there was a 1K Post Club. do I get a badge for my vest or a pin to put in my hat or something?

Thanks Donno!

with any luck at all we'll have our new (old) LM ready for the local track's next race on the 18th. got the engine back from the machine shop Monday, now it's mostly together (ran out of silicone for the intake, and have the wrong intake bolts). mounted the seat, belts, switches, MSD, & battery cable last night. Also fiberglassed the hole in the hood (from the previous owner). if it'll stop raining long enough that it'll partially dry up, we can paint the thing. tonight we finished with the fiberglass work and rough sanding, replaced the transducer in the distributor, and mounted the shifter on the tranny (spent an hour just adjusting the linkages.) tomorrow will finish the hood, rebuild the carb, and finish the engine. then the hard work begins: installing engine, tranny, fluids, and lead. then getting the suspension set up and a few trips to the track for testing. have to beg, borrow or buy a trailer since I sold ours yesterday to a dirt modified racer who wanted it more than I did.

oh yeah, did I mention it's still raining? or that my shop still needs the front wall and roof built? no room inside so the SLM and Dwarf car have to sit out in the rain.

I said all that so folks won't think I sit around all day and night staring at my computer monitor

Fantastic! I've always considered you my own little personal encyclopedia when it comes to NASCAR. I've learned a ton from you, and look forward to learning more! No offense to LSC, of course!

Speaking of LSC, didn't I hear a "Boogity, boogity, boogity" line in "Smokey and the Bandit" while I was watching late, late, late TV the other night battling a case of insomnia?

Seriously, congratulations RD!

thanks Penny. I never thought of my self as an encyclopedia before, just a guy that had trouble shutting up. but now that you mention it, I can say I definitely am the multi-volume version.

I stand ready .. your quest - ion is my command.
