He also looked strangely comfortable. He relishes his role as a part-time driver -- he plans to split the rest of this season and next with Aric Almirola -- and fulltime head of the driver development program |

Re: Jayski 7/27/07 "AND captainthunderracing.com is hearing that Kyle Busch is very close to finalizing a deal that will make him the fourth driver in the Joe Gibbs Racing stable. Sources said Busch has crossed Richard Childress Racing and Dale Earnhardt, Inc. off his list of potential teams for 2008 and beyond. Speculation also had Busch going to DEI to replace Dale Earnhardt Jr., but it appears as though the DEI/Ginn Racing merger has taken up most of the executives time at DEI and Busch never felt any warmth from the organization. An announcement is expected sometime over the next week to week and a half, most likely after the big Brickyard 400 weekend. Sources said only the details of the contract remained to be worked out, but that both parties had agreed in principle to a five year deal.(captainthunderracing.com)(7-27-2007)"

| Re: DEI & Ginn That's what I was thinking....lol. I think they all "fib" til they get it in writing. |

| Re: DEI & Ginn Hmmm... I heard Harvick interviewed right after Hendrick inserted the blade between Kyle's shoulder blades and Kevie said Kyle would be a good addition to the RCR stable. Maybe that was before NASCAR told everyone that Kyle Busch was one step away from being persona non grata with NASCAR, and therefore, a virtual "untouchable?" |

| Re: DEI & Ginn I wonder exactly what would happen if Kyle were to win the Playoff next season, Truex Jr a close second, and Junior somewhere back in the field? That would write an entirely new chapter for the definition of "Irony." (plus I might wet myself with absolute glee) |

COURTING KYLE: Kevin Harvick isn't interested in having Kyle Busch as a teammate. Asked if he could envision Busch at Richard Childress Racing, Harvick said "no" without elaborating. That doesn't mean car owner Richard Childress isn't interested in the 22-year-old Busch. "Anybody would look at Kyle right now - any team in here," Childress said. "Kyle's a really talented young driver and I just think he'd be the future of any team that he went to." Maybe the comment that Richard made is why Harvick don't want Kyle at RCR. |
