| Re: Ginn Needs Help Geeezz guys.....Nobody can take a joke? I knew the Frey thing was a typo I was just kidding. From what you wrote I got the feeling you were talking about DEI buying the 13 team. That is what I took from your post that you thought the herald was talking about that. When really I believe they were talking about when DEI was rumored to buy MB2 right before Ginn purchased them. If you don't remember that rumor then you can look it up on jayski's. Yes, yes, I know I will get the "rumors are just rumors and not fact" response. I was just trying to explain what I thought the Herald was getting at. I could care less if you are right or they are. |

| Re: Ginn Needs Help this from NASCAR.COM: "Our plan has been from the beginning that we were going to build our team slowly, over time, not make snap decisions and quick decisions that we would look back on and regret and so we were running the truck and the Busch car and Regan was doing great in the Busch car," Ginn said. "He had done pretty well in the Cup and so I talked with Mark and Jay [Frye] and Mark was convinced that he was ready to run a full-time schedule so if I've got to run a car with no sponsorship on it I may as well be trying to get my young driver seat time.not saying he was right or wrong, but it seems like a logical business decision. the same article (NASCAR.COM - Smith to replace Marlin at Ginn; Nemechek released - Jul 19, 2007) covers Sterling's and Joe's comments.

part time or not, Mark is the premier driver at Ginn. his past record proves it and he's delivering (unlike many with past records do.) if you compare Joe's record in the same car with the same team and sponsor last year (2 top 10's, avg start:18.0, avg finish:24.4) with Mark's record this year (4 top 5's, 7 top 10's, avg start:15.2, avg finish:10.9), it's obvious which driver is most deserving of the "premier" ride. Joe is a good driver and not ready to "partially retire" .. I've already heard a rumor he'll be in the 3rd cup car for Ginn next year (and he's actively beating the bushes for sponsorship!) |

| Re: Ginn Needs Help Duck is exactly right. Mark is in Ginn's premier car to keep it the premier car. If he had left Nemechek in it and put Mark elsewhere, it could have very well been Army pulling out instead of Certainteed/Haier and Ginn would have lost probably 35-40 percent of his financial support (rough estimate). Mark being in the 01 has nothing to do with what happened to Joe and Sterling. In fact, that seems to be the one smart thing Bobby has done with his team. |
