Re: Where Is....?

There are a whole bunch of people I have wondered about at one time or another. First off, what has Jerry Nadeau been up to? I know he wants to get back to some form of racing some time. I wonder if his condition has improved any since the last interview I saw.

How about Bob Whitcomb who teamed with Derrike Cope for a couple of unlikely wins in 1990.

Then there are a bunch of former crew cheifs, drivers, owners or all of the above that just seemed to disapear. Like Jimmy Makar, Gary DeHart, Kirk Shelmerdine or Jimmy Means?

Finally, some TV guys. I just recently found out that Ken Squier was the PA anmoumcer at NHIS. What are guys like Larry Nuber, David Hobbs and Glenn Jarrett up to?

Also, WHERE IS BOB JENKINS? I'm talking to you ESPN.

Just a few guys I've been wondering. I doubt that alot of them even follow the sport anymore.

Question Re: Where Is....?

Since we are discuss the whereabouts of some of NASCAR's not talked about, shouldn't we discuss the whereabouts of some of NASCAR's current best during the off week? It seems only fitting that we discuss where they were all be in one of their only vacation times.

I heard that Kasey Kahne is off to Mexico.

And, during his weekly Alltel Axcess Racing Podcast, at AlltelRacing.com, Ryan Newman devulged that he will relax in the mountains of North Carolina.

Other reports have Jamie McMurray racing go-karts and Elliott Sadler golfing.

Does anyone know where Casey Mears will be? I heard Jimmie Johnson will take a trip with his wife to Europe.

I don't care where they are as long as they not in the Busch race this weekend.

Hmmm... I guess it's been a while since I listened to a race on MRN. I completely forgot he was in the business. That takes care of that I guess.

I don't see why that'd be the answer. Skinner is 50 and he's tearin it up right now. That's why I love the truck series. The guys that never really made in cup provide the best racing you'll ever see. Skinner, Bodine, Musgrave, Benson...

To comment real quick, the CTS is the best racin cause the trucks are not so aerodependent like the cars. You can beat the far out of those things and still be in the hunt. Now to get back on topic....

I think last I heard Jerry Nadeau was goin to be apart of some team doin consulting or something... been a while since I heard anythin to confirm.

I can answer a few of these
Jimmy Makar... Runs competition for all the cars at Gibbs.
Gary Dehart is working with Ginn Racing, or was the last I heard
Shelmerdine is still trying to make Cup races in vastly underfunded cars. Runs ARCA every now and then
Jiommy Means is retired and living in Northern Alabama
Larry Nuber died 3-4 years ago after a long battle with cancer
David Hobbs has multiple auto dealerships in Milwaukee. Ocassionally does some announcing
Glen Jarrett works part time for MRN basically a fill-in
Bob Jenkins works for IRL motor sports and does their radio announcing. I heard him last week from Nashville.

Bob Whitcomb...? After he sold the #10 Purolator white/orange Chev I lost all track of him.

Here's the latest on Nadeau. I see he has gotten back to racing.

Jayski's® Silly Season Site - Team Pages - Nadeau News

I wonder what could have lead him to Endurance Karting? Never heard of such a thing.
