I have seen Richard race many times in person. We used to go to his fan club meetings in Bristol all the time because I was a member. One year I started up to get an autograph and tripped and almost fell on him. He just calmly held up his hands and said "whoa there". Also went to his fan club meeting at Daytona one year. Which was also his birthday party. I still love the King.
