Speaking of beer (that sort of falls into History repeating itself) some friends were up from Charlotte this week and they brought some beer called "Tilt". Ever hear of it? I guess it is made by Bud and is 6.6% and has an orange flavor. Similar to those fruity beers. You can get buzzed in just a few and not even know it until it's to late. That in itself would be repeated history for me.

Honestly I think it was a malt and yes it was good. On the can all that you could really read was "Tilt" and "6.6%" I only had one of those as they were limited and then I added about 11 Molson's and then a very eventful canoe trip with the son-in-law to be. I think he tried to drown me.

We had a good time. There was actually a power boat that had gone by us and it created a few waves and we didn't head into them so maybe the waves and the brews together did us in. Keeping true to the topic, I'll not canoe with him again, therefore refusing to repeat history.

Oh, but I did read it, McM...

If someone is going top play historian, I wish that they'd get it right, and not write it in a confusing manner

In 1982 NASCAR had in place a two-car-per-owner rule that was rigidly enforced. Jim Stacy owned two car ONLY, not the seven the above infers that he owned.

My concern was what he inferred, not what he accused. he did, in fact, state that Stacey sponsored the cars but the way it was presented it was easily (to me anyway, and I bet some others, but I could be quite wrong there), he sponsorship could easily be confused with outright ownership. You, obviously, made the correct translation.

I didn't mean to offend, and if I did, my apologies for my feeling that the statement was a bit confusing.

IRT my feeling about Hendrick, no apologies offered. I just plain have very little respect for the guy and, to me, he represnets about 50% of everything currently wrong with NASCAR. 'Nuff said on that...
