I've heard Mountain Dew, which is a Pepsi product. But that's a rumor at this point.

The problem is Hendrick said he isn't pursuing any sponsors. So it has to be a sponsor inside of HMS, and the rumors are saying a Pepsi product, which would be Mountain Dew.

remember that Gatorade is associated with the Pepsi corporation, so it could be Gatorade too.

i don't mean to be a jerk, but this quote right here is such a great illustration of the "new" fans...

it seems to me that in the last huge wave of fans (since network TV and SR's death) that a lot of fans just don't understand how NASCAR works...

i realize that sponsors like thier drivers and stuff and sometimes but not often they will go with that driver but many more times they don't...

but the sponsors sponsor the car, the team and the owner, the owner is the one who gets the money to fund the team...

and the same thing goes with the number 8 no one takes their number anywhere, it always stays with the owner...

i am surprised most people don't think the drivers own their cars and that they race the same car every weekend...

i am only 24 and i have been watching since i can remember and i have known how this all works for a long long time, shoot rusty was my favorite before he reitred and miller even went with him from the 27 to the 2 and i still knew that wasn't the norm...

look i am not saying i know everything about racing, but this is all very basic and i guess i take it forgranted that casual fans should know this stuff

wrong.

Gatorade is a non-carbonated sports drink marketed by the Quaker Oats Company, a division of PepsiCo. Originally made for athletes, it is now commonly consumed as a snack beverage.

Powerade (or POWERADE, as stylized on logos) is a sports drink by The Coca-Cola Company and currently number two in the sports drink market worldwide.
