NASCAR fines Busch Series crew chief

NASCAR has fined Greg Conner, crew chief of the No. 59 Wood Brothers/JTG Racing Busch Series team of driver Marcos Ambrose in the NASCAR Busch Series, $1,000 for an unapproved aerodynamic violation at Daytona International Speedway.
Car parts that do not conform to NASCAR rules were discovered during pre-qualifying inspection on July 6.

Ha Ha. I realize that the money doesn't flow quite as freely as in the Cup. But $1,000 does seem a little light.

not much on this in the press. I suspect, due to the light fine, it was something like the rear spoiler was outside the accepted angles by a degree or two or the front fender was too far out on one side by maybe as much as half an inch.

maybe the wrong color window net .. since it's aerodynamic in nature, it's nothing inside the car.

Even Nascar don't have much about it. Just said it was found during pre qualifying inspection.

18% ???? By your percentage you're saying their investment is between $5 - $6000.00 ??? Nobody races that cheap. Tires are more than that.

Really. I just figured he just missed the decimal either between the 1 & 8 perhaps even before the 1.

Good Lord, when my two boys were racing 1/4 midgets we had more than $6K per car.
