| Re: Why do drivers keep getting in front of Stewart and then slam on their brakes? Too funny! If he wrecked Kenseth, Gordon, Martin, would he still take the "he's inexperienced" line? It doesn't look to me like Denny let up. But if he were already loose, why would Stewart intentionally make it worse? Jeez, what a dumb move. |

well last night on inside nextel cup they say that these tires in this car just don't respond and you are kind of just hanging on... that you turn the wheel and wait for something to happen, so i am sure he couldn't have "just got out of the way" in time if in fact Hamlin dramatically checked up the way stewart describes it... |

| Re: Why do drivers keep getting in front of Stewart and then slam on their brakes? No, no, no. Denny said he didn't hit the turn the way he wanted and lifted out of the gas, there is no way he hit the brakes. Jus like a claim on your auto insurance, if someone rearends you, who pays for it(literally)? The person behind. So, if I'm tony and the person in front slows down, you either pass him, which he couldn't, or slow down. |

| Re: Why do drivers keep getting in front of Stewart and then slam on their brakes? look i like stewart and hamlin for the most part (i really liked how he handled this situation this weekend) but to me it does look like there is a wiggle before stewart gets into him. so to me it just seems that is was an accident. i don't think tony should handle the blame and neither should denny, however stewart handled this all wrong even if it was denny's fault, because no matter what it all looks like sour grapes. calling hamlin a superstar when he is in second in the points with a win and tony is in like 7th or so with no wins, and has always found a way to screw uo this year he looks like a huge baby. that being said hamlin has done more than his fair share of whinning this year calling out your crew is not cool. |

| Re: Why do drivers keep getting in front of Stewart and then slam on their brakes? Looking at the video on youtube it didn't look like Denny had any control issue at that point ... at least not until he took a hit on the bumper. |

| Re: Why do drivers keep getting in front of Stewart and then slam on their brakes? No poll vote as the answers do not apply. No car gets the same traction and comes off a corner the exact same way and speed each lap. |

| Re: Why do drivers keep getting in front of Stewart and then slam on their brakes? I have given this a lot of deep, serious thought. I've looked back on some of Stewart's escapades and his interviews afterward. Let's see... Daytona of 2006 he decried "Slam Drafting," then in the race he bumped The King of the Red Army so hard he almost went through the wall in T1? Tony has had...? three run-in's this year with Master's Busch, Kurt; Busch, Kyle; Hamlin, Dennis; and at least one other which I can't recall. In each case Anthony was very vocal in that they all "did him wrong," and should be racing Figure 8's at some obscure track instead of competing in auto racing's biggest league? I chalk it up to one of two things, but I'm not sure which, so help me out here... Door #1... Tony had become afflicted by a no-so-rare disease; optalrectamosis. He optic nerves have gotten crossed with his rectal nerves and he just plain has a crappy outlook on life, or... Door #2... Global Warming!
