I think Tony's biggest problem right now is that Denny is doing so much better than him. You know he thinks he's top dog at Gibbs and it looks like Denny might take that spot from him, performance wise, and I think Tony just can't handle that.

Since he is in second place in the points he is the top dog for Gibbs. You may well have a good point as to why Tony ran at the mouth last night. Not only that but Tony did lose a position last night.

I really think its a combination of all the above, Im sure hes not happy with denny doing better than him and hes frustrated with his own performance, however it shouldnt be a suprise he ran his mouth while the camera was on him, hes been notorious for his mouth the past few years..

Tony was just being Tony last night. He's a great driver, but he's a lot less important than HE thinks he is. I agree with some of the earlier comments - I've never heard him take responsibility for a wreck. Good to see Denny take the high road - he seems to be more of a man than Tony...

I think there was a combination of events. First off Tony accused Denny of not having a good handle on the car and he may well have been correct as this did happen to a few drivers last night. Why would you stay on the tail of someone out of control ??? If you feel like it is an accident waiting to happen you should get out of the way, not close in on the bumper. Tony may have seen what was wrong but did nothing to get himself out of harms way. He may well have been the cause of the problem .... again. Someday he may actually grow up and accept responsibility.

It was funny when tony said denny didnt know how to be a teamate. well tony, the last time i checked you work together with your teamates, not wreck them in the early stages of a long race when both of you have good cars.

No, if you wreck someone to win, you're not automatically a bad driver. Depends on the circumstance. Look at Saturday night's finish. I thought sure McMurray and Busch would wreck. If they did, that wouldn't make either one a bad driver. Just some damn hard racing for the win.

Earnhardt's career was based on far more than wrecking for the win! If it wasn't, he would have won more races!
