.. on these 1.5 mile tracks. Vegas was an 11th, Cali he was in 13th til the speeding penalty with 5 togo .. and Texas he was FAST in testing. I dont think the team is looking to win at these tracks, just compete for a top 10.. top 15. they used to barely crack the top 25 at them.

the bud team is gonna be STRONG by the end of the year i think. they are doing it quietly (with the exception of Martinsville) this year.

I bet he's glad that his cousin's back as his crew chief. Hope he gets a win this year but I don't think it will be as many as he predicted.

One of the biggest mistakes EVER switching them two up. A 3rd then a 5th in the points and you switch? lol. dumb move .. total waste of a year.

i predict 3 wins before the year is up .. they aren't "there" yet ... but they are running really strong.

I think the main reason for the switch, was to try and improve the 15 team. But, no matter what team he is with, I just dont think Michael Waltrip is a top 10 driver. Besides his plate track success with DEI, he really hasnt done anything spectacular anywhere else in his 15+ years in Cup..........but boy can he talk!

He talked well enough to get NAPA to follow him. Within a couple of years they will part company.

I would equate Sterling Marlin to Boomhower! Jr. more like Dale - no pun intended !! But that's me! It would be really scary if we ALL thought alike - especially if everybody "thought" like me!!!!!!

Obviously Jr is more into driving than being a media freak. Have you ever really listened to Bobby Labonte ? His key word is "deal". More and more today the driver must be a PR person also. The sponsors want someone who can mention their product and make you remember it. Maybe that's where the MW NAPA School comes into play !!!

Listening to Jr. before a race and after hurts my ears, sometimes he gives a quick answer and pauses, comes up with something and continue, his become good at that.

I think there was some fiction between jr, and tony jr, and they switched up to defuse the situation.I think they will win 2-3 times this year and finish in the top 3.in the end

that is one of the major reasons .. although they were a top 5 team, they werent getting along and the attitude around the shop and garage was AWFUL from what i've read. they wouldnt even talk sometimes til Sunday. it sucks they had to ruin almost a year because of some immature things .. but i think 19th in the points for Dale and not being competitive for Tony were all they needed to put the egos behind them and step up to the plate.

However, if Sr. was alive .. I truely believe Jr would have a title by now .. he wouldnt have let it get to that .. no where near it.

Yeah sponsors want a guy who talk about their product but what they really want (whether they know it or not) is a guy who can TALK with performance!

I think the Tony/ Junior thing was simply growing pains. they'll be formidabble for awhile...unless egos take over!

if those two ever .. ever .. EVER have another ego dispute .. it may turn me off of Jr ... if they didnt learn last year just how bad it really could be .. they are idiots!!!
