Re: Aric Almora wins Busch Series at Milwaukee

Aric definately should have credit for the win since he won the pole and kept the car in the top 3, until he was told by the Rockwell brass to get out of the car.
See my "Rockwell Automation" thread.

I agree that Aric should get the win. That was low down of Rockwell.

I would suspect that Rockwell had a contract with Hamlin to drive this race and that is the face they wanted to see in their advertising in reference to this race. Real bonus that he won.

It is sad because now we have proof that Sponsor are running Nascar. Being a big JGR fan this pains me. I thought they were more of a stand up team than that. If Joe was at the track I'm sure Aric would of finished the race in the car.

doubt it. the folks with the wallet talk loudest. JGR didn't need a sponsor confrontation .. makes it harder to get others in the future...

plus there's that other little thing: doubt if Aric would have the win if Denny hadn't been "pressed" into service... Aric was a good solid T5, but wasn't showing enough speed to win when he was pulled.

on the bright side, Aric gets the driver points and win credit. that goes directly into his wallet.
