| Re: Montoya Fans: Cat got your tongue? CARTEL is the South American cousin of NEXTEL. it's a family thing. somehow CARTEL is also related to NASCAR, but on the CAR side, not the TEL side. anyway, "the family" controls everything. NASCAR, don't cross "the family" if you know what's good for you...

| Re: Montoya Fans: Cat got your tongue? I think Speed will show last Sunday's race one night this week. They typically repeat the race. I'm gonna watch to see Montoya do his thing. I may get bored with Robby's dominance ... |

| Re: Montoya Fans: Cat got your tongue? you don't watch much cup racing on TV, do you? most of the announcers are falling all over themselves to follow the plights of J&J, especially when they've been sent to the dungeon... |

| Re: Montoya Fans: Cat got your tongue? Well, I saw portions of the race today. I was getting really annoyed that every time I turned it on, they were either under caution, there was a commercial, or they were just driving around the track in single file. I did see the last 10 laps. I wish I hadn't already known the outcome. Pretty good stuff. Montoya was relentless. Since I knew Montoya would win, I was more interested in the Gordon/Stewart battle. What happend to Jr? He was second, then next I saw, he was out to lunch. Ok, Montoya fans: Great job coming from the back to win! I never expected it. I know I'm going to get in trouble for this, but I have to say it ... The "celebration" in Victory Lane had to be the lamest I've ever seen for a first-time Cup winner! Where was the crew celebration? Where were the fluids flying through the air and soaking Montoya? Where was the emotion in Montoya? Where were the other drivers congratulating him? Granted, I was watching a re-broadcast, so it may have been edited, but it didn't look like it was. Correct me if I'm wrong. I remember when Jeffey won his first Cup race ... back when I liked him ... and actually cheered for the win. He was so emotional, and was laughed at for it, but I thought it was touching. This Montoya seems to think he's entitled or something. Remember, Montoya ... in the words of Eddie Murphy, "You in America now!" Master the oval, and you'll have my respect, among others, as a driver, even though I doubt I will ever have a fondness for your personality. On to Loudon ... my back yard!
