Anyone else here watch the show on Speed Channel hosted by Earnhardt Jr.? It's a great show originally hosted by Bud Linderman, with races from the 60s and 70s at different tracks. Its a cool glimpse into the past where you can see how times have changed. Cars had REAL chrome bumpers, glass windows and all different body styles. I used to watch it on SpeedTV a few years ago when it came on in the mornings. It's neat to hear Jr. say during a pit stop something like, "that's my granddaddy changing that tire".

Anyway, its on Monday nights at 6PM Pacific time, dont know about other times zones. A way cool show and a look back in time.

A real cool show and one that I have been trying to tune into and tape when possible....my tape/cd library is getting to be a great collection of the history of Stock car racing...but, sadly, the recent races are 'not-so-stock-car' racing at it's finest...I just really miss the good 'ol days when it was really stock car racing....Cest 'la Vie....that's French for "oh well, who gives crap...we can't change it.!!

We have caught a couple shows.....the ones we saw were great.
No taking the wind off your door there...more like wham!! take that!

I especially noticed the pit crew uniforms...not!(Jeans & a tee shirt) and the 2 foot high barrier walls..yikes!

These races were run when I was a youngster...but I still remeber STP stickers.

I have yet to catch it, but I have seen the previews and it looks cool. I have whatched those old reces from car and driver or something.
