Hey everyone - okay I can't help myself. My guy won finally (okay, one of my guys)! He led the most laps and won. Let me know how you feel, Smoke fans. So good to see someone other than Hendrick or Roush win. Wonder what Home Depot will have on sale this week? Ladders again? Maybe fencing.

On another note, truck racing: David Starr won, a truck series regular. Yeah! It was a good racing weekend.

I like Tony and am glad he won and kept those Hendrick cars behind him. I watched Starr win the truck race also. I was getting really irritated how the announcers would not shut up about Mark Martin being in 4th place with shot to win. And the cameras kept focusing on him. Dont get me wrong, I have nothing against Martin, but I dont want to see him keep winning in the Truck series.

You took the words right out of my mouth, Nevadastars, exactly how I feel. All the announcers talked about was where Mark was on the track, all race. I like Busch and Truck regulars to win, not Cup drivers. If Mark wins next year all the time when he's full-time in Truck, I doubt if I will watch. Too boring.

Nice to see Tony pull it out. Seems like often when he leads early the car fades at the end. Nice to get the total package this time. Really nice because I feel like he should have had one or two other wins already if not for his late race skirmishes. Thing is, whether you think he was at fault or not, those are what make Tony, Tony. He has a passion and fire to win, to beat the next guy, that sometimes is over the top. I'll deal with that any day as opposed to those guys who get out and talk about how happy they are to have a top five car each week... maybe we'll get a win one day yada, yada, yada. I remember last season after a race where Tony ran second and given the day was a better than expected finish. The announcer walked up and said Tony I guess you have to be happy with a second today, to which he emphatically responded no, we came here to win. I'm not in favor of putting anyone in danger but outside of that, give me some fire and and passion and a driver that gets mad at second place.

Yep, Rave20, that's what makes Tony unique. I don't like those cookie cutter drivers any more than I like cookie cutter race tracks.

As the name implies I LOVED THE RACE. Like stated earleir most of the time when Tony jumps out there and leds the most laps and can put a second lead on the second place car, I dont get excited because I have seen it so much just to see his equipment falter at the end. But I love the fact that he doesnt go out there and make laps till the end and then try to win. He wants to lead EVERY lap not just the last one.

I'm about as far away as you can get from being a Tony Stewart fan. He did drive a good race this week and I will give him a pat on the back for that. Even though I do not like him he has the ability and the team to get it done. I guess the reason I dislike him is because of his anger problems along with the "who me ???" attitude. I know he isn't unique to that attitude but I don't like it in any driver.

Hey, this thread is only for #20 fans. Ha ha, just kidding. I look at his anger as a desire to win and he gets frustrated when he doesn't. My opinion.

LSC: keep on disliking him. And thanks for your opinions. I hate cheering for the guy everybody likes. Glad to see a little of his edgier side come back. He was getting a little too nice there for a minute. Started to scare me. (Didn't like his Daytona moves though!)
