Just wanted to know if anybody from this forum is heading to Infineon this weekend? I'll be there Saturday and Sunday. My first NASCAR race, ever!

me too. I really enjoy road races I wish there were atleast 2 more in the season.

Meh, I'm recording it too... figured since the track is an hour away, why not?

Yes, Yes, Yes. Make one Road Atlanta, and the other Mid-Ohio. I'd love to go back there.

I've been there half a dozen times to Cup races including the very first one, but the last one I went to was in '99. Prepare for a huge crowd and bad traffic, especially if you're coming from Vallejo. But its worth it if its your first time. The last couple of times I went, I would go on Saturday to watch the Southwest Tour race and the Cup cars practice, then watch the race on TV at home on Sunday. The track has changed A LOT since I was there last. It's too bad your first race they are going to be running those funky CoT's, but the bottom line is have fun!

im goen to my first race this year as well,im goen to the pepsi 400 and im really looking forward to it and im sure you feel the same about goen to the infineon.its not the view you go for its just the fact your actually there.

Oh, I'm prepared for it... I've seen it before when passing it on 37. And yeah, I'm coming from the Vallejo direction. Luckily there's been a lot of freeway additions in Vallejo itself so that part will be a little less painful.

Its been entertaining as hell this morning watching the local news station really hyping up the fact that NASCAR has come to town.

I'll be there, its a great place to watch a road race from the turn 7 or 9 terraces you can see about 95% of the track! The traffic is much better since they improved the road from Vallejo, last year it was pretty smooth. Before that it was a nightmare! Have a great time!!
