Bob, I'd be real curious as to why you'd be our worst dream. If it is because you'd be honest and forthright .... then so be it. I'll bet a lot of "Race" fans would enjoy some honesty .... for a change.

Like in today's society where a frighteningly large number of Americans don't want to be free; they want the government to solve all their problems, in today's NASCAR there is an equally large number who care little about racing. They just want to idolize "their driver" and want larger and grander souvenir trailers where they can purchase tee-shirts, ball caps, toy cars and other assorted overpriced crap.

IF I were King of a Track I pledge that I would work diligently through any means possible, including putting a bounty on the heads of certain media and corporate PR types, to reverse this frightening trend in our sport. THAT would NOT make me many friends. Have you ever heard of a NASCAR-affiliated official being assassinated? <g>

That was reason #1.
