Give me a break. We all know NASCAR today is not necessarily about the driver. In order to win, or even finish in the top 10 consistently, you have to be with one of the elite teams. Roush, Hendricks, Childress and the likes. Bill Davis and the like are field fillers, plain and simple. They get lucky every now and then and that is it.

Gordon is classless? If Earnhardt was alive and saw you say that, he would have told you differently. Gordon and Earnhardt had battles, but the respect and class for both men was there. There is a old quote that states "Rubbing is racing", and some people forget that.

The problem I have with some NASCAR fans is they disrespect drivers because they had more success than their favorite driver, and then people try to say something else to explain why they hate Gordon, like he whines, etc. The first time Jeff Gordon beat the fan favorite Dale Earnhardt, people started hating him. People can deny this, but the truth hurts. Jeff Gordon will be considered one of the best drivers in NASCAR history, and no matter how many fans will try to deny that, it will show in the stats why Jeff Gordon is one of the best drivers in NASCAR history, and no one can prove stats wrong.

I understand that people will not like certain drivers, but disrespecting them like some people do isn't right.

Good point Mike...that's one of the things I luv about GTG, we can agree to disagree.

My mom likes Jeff Gordon, and I let her. Does'nt mean I have to.(and yes, I tell her he sucks too ) I am a Kenseth fan and a FORD fan....so the fact he drives a Chevy is one strike against him....he pulls cheap shots and then hides behind, that's racing...there's another strike and he's from California and acts like he is better than everyone else (even if he WAS better, it's different to act like you know it)..so that's 3 strikes...he's out.

Lastly, you are right!!! I don't think just cause he has a waaah-ambulance is enough to dislike someone, that wouldn't be faaaaaair

And that's exactly why I don't really care about him. I'll be honest I'm a new (but transformed into obsessed) NASCAR fan. I didn't even watch when Gordon won so that doesn't factor in the least.

Yeah, Gordon haters have nothing else to do. That won't happen though because NASCAR should have every NASCAR driver's email addresses protected, and if they don't, the drivers have their email addresses protected so nothing childish and disrespectful like that will happen.

I would be happy to! I don't think it's disrespectful at all. If I had two chinchillas on my head I'd want my friends to tell me. Obviously they haven't, so it is up to us. I told my father the same thing. TRIM THOSE BAD BOYS! SOMETHING! However what if he likes them? I bet they keep him warm in the winter.
