I am not one of the seven dwarfs. I'm way to tall for that job. A different winner is what NASCAR is really striving for. The cars are theoretically all the same now so all the teams should have an equal chance.

Well, they are doing great things with special effects these days, I am sure Hollywood would not pass up on you over a height issue. Stop thinking black and white silent classic will you? LOL.

i'am was the biggest #3 fan,,,i don't understand why people do not realize #24 is the next #3 ,,,not #8..!!!!...look at the wins,,championships,,,,etc..!!!!!!!!!!...they also have to come to terms JR, will never even come close to his DAD'S or Gordons figures due to how competitive it is nowadays..multi car teams,,new points crap ruined that for everbody..!!!....so get over it Gordon will probley be "THE LAST AMERICAN HERO" of NASCAR...!!!!!!....even the "YOUNG GUNS" will not come close ,,i don't care if they are in a NEXTEL CUP CAR when they are 16 years old.!!!!,,

Well, I'm not so sure what breaks he caught in this case. LeTarte's risky call made the difference. I was sitting in the stands by the start/finish line. That guy drove the heck out of that car, and after last year's crash because of break failure, there absolutely was no mistaking fear in his voice. And when it started to rain, we never felt a drop in the stands, but watched it poor over turn 1 and back straight to turn 2. Every driver was screaming at NASCAR over the scanner to throw the yellow before somebody got killed. The yellow should have been thrown sooner, no question.

I learned a lot listening to the driver's and chiefs this weekend. My opinion of a few have been changed. True colors come out when the real pressure is on. It was a great race for a number of reasons. But Gordon worked for that win, it was only LeTarte's call that was lucky. Oh, as far as not having a fast car, after the tire change while trying to regain track position, without breaks, LeTarte said his lap time was 1.5 seconds, yes, you read it right, faster than the leader. That's huge.

Oh my. I'm glad you're a big fan, but Gordon will never be the next #3, thank the lord harry. There is no "next #3." He's gone, and won't/shouldn't be replaced. I have total respect for #3, but their driving styles are totally different and I'm not a big fan of the "win at all cost" style. Their personalities are completely different. And that's a good thing because that's what makes it possible for them both to be great. There's room at the top for more than one.

I have a serious dislike for the idiot. Never have liked the a$$hole. As far as Nascar givin him wins... it's happened. Sundays race... ahh I'm not surprised by the outcome.... I actually one a bet that as soon as a car threatened him the caution would fly for the rain... The sweet smell of one hundred dollars is great.... Sundays race was well... in the eye of the beholder.... Now Talladega that was plain as day.... There was even Gordon fans caught on tape saying NA$CAR gave him the win. Has all his wins come from handouts by the brass?.... No. Has he been given some key wins?.... Yes. JMHO. That's all I have to say about that.

like it or not he is the "next" Earnhardt....he will surpass E......look how many disiliked Earnhardt in his early years,,and then how his was praised before and after his death....no one on this board can tell me how they will feel about Gordon 5,10,15 years from now ..whats the old saying.? we get wiser as we get older...that goes for the fans also...RACING HEROS will always be replaced.with the next best..FIREBALL ROBERTS was replaced by Curtis Turner,,,,Curtis Turner replaced by Richard Petty,,,,,,Richard Petty replaced by Dale Earnhardt,,,,,Dale Earnhardt replaced by Jeff Gordon,,,,Jeff Gordon replaced by ?.................................(this ought to stir the hornets nest,,,lol)
