I just hope this prelude thing doesn't turn into a prelude for NASCAR to going the pay per view route. At that point I'll probably be done.

If that is the case then have at it, but it's gonna have to be better than Eldora before I pay to watch it on TV. How much was it just out of curiosity ???

I antied up for it, all and all not bad, could have had more interview with some of the smack talking. a one time shot was ok.

I always thought that place was in AZ. or NV. somewhere out west.
I may have to try and atend next year.

I will jeffy did look good on dirt, but I was rooting for old hermen the german. I love it see the cars twist up like his was.

LSC the reason why they did pay per view is because they want to make money because all of the money goes to the Victory Junction Gang Camp!

Yep ... I forgot all about that. In that case it is a good cause.

I thought exactly the same thing when I heard Thursday how successful the show was on PPV.
I bet NASCAR/ISC looks hard at this.

On the flip side, maybe, just maybe, NASCAR/ISC will see how popular dirt track racing is and ISC will buy Duquoin, or some other one mile dirt track,, put superstands around it and put a dirt race on the schedule? (Don't hold your breath on THAT one)

What is your take on the cup series doing some dirt track racing ?? Not necessarily from a personal point of view, although I always enjoy yours, but from a business standpoint. Would it be profitable for NASCAR or just way to expensive for teams to gear up for dirt track racing ? How long of a track would be good ? A superspeedway length maybe ??

I'm sure you and many other have an opinion.

LSC, surely you jest.

on 2nd thought .. that's a good one! tell me another - we need a good laugh every now and then to keep the blood flowing!!!

most NASCAR fans think dirt is what they sweep out every day or so ... racin' in dirt is a trip thru the infield.

but it might work if they can figure out how to have a race on the beach at Daytona, like in the old days .. with the COT .. on street tires!
