They asked him about some race he participated in last week (didn't catch what) and he said that he hadn't asked for permission to do it. He made it sound like he was going to get in trouble with his team because he, in his own words, "snuck out" to participate.

He surely wasn't talking about Tony's race. I thought that one had about everyone's blessing. Penske/Don Miller even let Newman run it and normally they refuse to let their drivers run anything but Cup or Cup Lite. I understand that was the main reason Gaughn left them; they wouldn't let him run off road races.

with so much time to kill think of all the different drivers they could have interviewed instead of the same ol' guys over and over. Instead of repeating the Pearson/Edwards pieces (no disrespect to Pearson) they could have talked to several drivers we never get to see
