Re: Mikeys racin at Dover!

I go off topic as much as the next one but this thread is about Mikey racing at Dover. To reduce the chance that it gets closed lets try to leave the Toyota V the USA to somewhere else.

I've never been a fan of Mikey and I'm hoping that this year will make him realze he cannot do both jobs. In the meantime he has finally gotten into a race. Are you happy or sad for him ???

I've decided not to get out there in lala land with this topic like I did with the other one.
I think we know that I'm happy for him. Not just because of him though. I'd be happy for any team that has a car that has been struggling and they finally make a race. I do wish he could get it turned around and start doing better.

Ol' Michael wants to race, obviously, so good for him I guess. Doesn't really matter to me because, lets face it, this isn't 1996 and he's no longer a likeable underdog. My guess is that after the race starts (er, if it starts?) nobody will even notice that he has drifted quietly back to 30th or so.

If he manages to wreck, I wonder if he'll take off his shoes, run back to his house, and take a shower?

Re: Mikeys racin at Dover!

Since he's 38th in the final practice, I doubt he's going to get much air time today except when the leaders are lapping him.

Re: Mikeys racin at Dover!

knowing mikeys luck the race will be cancelled til later this year.

I don't expect him to run up front, this is only his 2nd race this year.
he's still at the bottom of the learning curve.

That would be about right, Mikey finally makes a race and it's gonna rain every day it's schedule to run....lol. I'll save the Mikey dislikes the trouble and go on and say it, looks like even God don't want him to race.

Re: Mikeys racin at Dover!

I could care less what Mikey does. He really changed after he won a couple of races. I had met him a few times pre-DEI, and he was always very approachable and great with the fans. He is nothing like that now.

And he is a another NASCAR butt-kisser. Watching him on the Monday re-cap show on speed is just sickening. I don't feel sorry for him a bit, his full of himself demeanor caught up with him. He would have stayed a nothing without DEI equipment, and now he is nothing without it.

Just deserts for what seems like a very changed man. Too bad, I used to really like him.

Just my two cents. I don't wish any bad luck on him as a person, but as a racer, I just can't be bothered with him. I was truly surprised to hear all the cheers at the track after he qualified. I guess I'm in the minority of folks that feel he has changed.

If you are then so am I. I have the same feeling about his driving abilities.
