American made and american assembled are two different things. Yeah a few of the chevy's are build in mexico or canada, but the majority of the parts are made here. toyota and american made have nothing in common. |

| Re: Mikeys racin at Dover! you're probably right .. except for the salaries for 21,000 US folks they employ, the utilities, taxes, etc. they pay on the plants, and, of course, the $20 BILLION they pay US sources for parts and materials, all of it goes to Japan... |

No one ever said Toyota had more employees in the US than the Big Three. I simply stated that the US manufacturers are having plant closures, lay-offs and buyouts, whereas Toyota is not. |
