If he can do that, he won't be in wrecks each week, and may be able to rack up some top 10's, and a few top 5's. But eh, Gordon wrecked cars in his rookie year, and look where he is now. Montoya just needs to learn and take notes this year, then go for it next year.
Agreed. Gordon did wreck is his rookie year, but I don't remember it being as bad as Montoya. I also don't remember Gordon pushing his way through traffic and causing wrecks, and/or giving the leaders a hard time when he had no chance of winning. But, perhaps my memory fails me ... again!

Then there's the personality types ... enough said about that.

The other driver that comes to mind right away is my ole pal Jimmy Spencer.

Yup. Spencer even broke a model car during the pre-race show this week. See it? It was pretty funny. I actually learned to like him ... off the track.

I hate to say it, but Kerry Earnhardt was another one who would hit the wall or someone else in every race I saw him run.

Buckshot, Kerry, Jimmy, Montoya, Robby ...

But with Robby it comes naturally .. you spend as much time bouncing around the desert and other non-paved venues as he does, you're like a sailor on dry land .. still have to sway with the motion of the boat...
