Man-oh-man... This entire saga is so messed up and convoluted that it rivals Tolstoy's "War and Peace" for intrigue and Tennessee Williams' "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" for family dysfunction.

I'm beginning to believe that the issue of racing and winning is secondary to the issue of a relationship which began to crumble when Dale Senior brought Teresa home. Dale Sr. didn't help things a bit with his will. I have heard it reported three times in the past couple weeks that NASCAR reports that in his final will and testament, Dale left DEI 100% to Teresa with no mention of his children, whatsoever? (Scratch the popular idea that Dale Sr. built DEI for Dale Jr.)

I believe it all depends now on how mercenary and vindictive Jr and Kelley want to be and how badly some owner wants him. I just wish he'd make a decision soon. I'm probably in the vast minority but all this speculation, wishful thinking, etc., etc., is getting really OLD!

what alot of people dont see is how much input teresa did have on building DEI, it wasnt just Sr, but i think Jr. can go anywhere he pleases because of his popularity, and becasue of what he can bring to a race team like leadership, ability, and exposure

If you're in the minority, Bob, I'm right there with you. I like Jr., I want to see him do well, but really, I could give a rat's patootie who he drives for. I'm more interested in the contract negotiations if they ever actually happen, because, frankly, I'd like to see how Kelly handles things. I don't much care what the contract ends up saying, but I wish I could be a fly on the wall during those talks. We'll see if Kelly can step up. She's done pretty well by Jr. so far I think. The contract negotiations I've been involved in at my former job got pretty darn nasty at times. Big money, big stress.

Bob I will agree with you. For me as well as many others, I don't care where he drives or who he drives for. The speculation that occurs here is just that. Some mentioned that a friend of a friend who knows someone who wrks for one of the teams has already started building Jr.'s cars ????? It may be true, but it may be desires and speculation. If nothing else it is fun to read all the new found facts that probably Jr. doesn't even know about yet.
