They said that they are going to let Dale Earnhardt Jr. pick the number for that car if he wants to go with Hall of Fame Racing. But I have a friend that works at RCR and he told me that they are already starting to build cars for Dale Jr. The number on the car is 33 and the paint scheme looks like his father's old GM GoodWrench paint Scheme. They want the bud logo on the car. So I don't know what team Dale Jr. is going to go to. If I had to pick I think he might go to RCR. One because they are a winning team. The only bad thing is that Dale Jr. doesn't like Kevin Harvick. He isn't going to go to Hall of Fame Racing because they haven't won any races but if Dale Jr. goes to Hall of Fame Racing he might be able to help Tony Raines win some races or help Hall of Fame Racing win some races. I have also heared that JGR is thinking about letting J.J Yeley go or putting him back into the busch series. So that means the number 18 car will be open again. So Dale Jr. might be driving the famous number 18 car. If he goes to JGR he won't have a problem fitting in at JGR because he is friends with Tony Stewart and Denny Hamlin. That is what I think about that.
I'm a little hard pressed to accept this info since he hasn't even signed with anyone just yet. Why would any team start building cars for a driver they don't own and why would they be putting on a sponsor that left the series this year.

I'm not calling your info bad but these cars cost a fortune and to build even just one on speculation seems rather chancey at best. Call me a doubting Thomas if you will.

but to biuld one would show the wanted driver commitment and drive.
if it does work out, you have a car to try out for the other drivers to see if they like that style of chasis.

They are putting the GM GoodWrench logo on the car. I know they left. I mean they are going to be using the paint scheme. The black,Sliver, and Red paint shceme that is what I meant. I don't understand it either but he e-mailed me te pitcures yesterday. I will post them on this site soon. But he told that I should be putting the pictures on the Internet until the info is right. If Dale Jr. goes to RCR that will be the car that he be driving but If he doesn't drive that car someone eles. I heared that they might but a rookie driver into that car. I heared that they ae going to put Marcos Ambrose into that car if Dale Jr. doesn't go to RCR.

I dunno. Each driver has different likes and dislikes. I still think far to much money would have to be spent just on mere speculation

Jr is better than Busch, he just needs the equipment to show that. I think Busch is a solid driver, but he has equipment that makes him great. Lets see him drive for another team, and we will see his talents. While Jr may have not so great equipment with DEI, he is still able to contend. That shows his talent.

Re: Hendrick's stable too full for junior--now

It's going to be interesting to see just how good Jr. is when he does leave DEI. When Mikey came to DEI he improved tremendously over his past. Possibly DEI has been going downhill for a while.

I'm a bit nervous that he may go to a top team and be no better than he is now. That will pretty much dismiss any chances for him in the future. As good as I think he is, he doesn't have a championship to fall back on for proof of his abilities. He does in fact have 17 victories so that will help.

We'll see ... soon enough.

Casey Mears is currently preparing a spot for him.

Maybe he did get alittle worried. I noticed he qualified the best of the Hendrick cars tonight.

Re: Hendrick's stable too full for junior--now

I think it will be too full for junior even for the next year. I mean, Hendrick's got four of the best drivers all under one roof. I think it would be a silly idea to let go of any of them. I'm not worried about Jeff or Jimmie leaving, but I'm not too worried about Kyle or Casey.

Casey proved tonight at the Coca Cola 600 that he can go the distance and win races. Kyle's a great driver, although I do have to agree that he's not exactly the best focused or the most patient of drivers. But he's got the talent. Give Casey the right equipment and give Kyle some time, and they'll present a force to be reckoned with.

But back to my point, even if Junior has a chance at saddling himself with Hendrick, he's got to do some changing first. I think he's got to distance himself from Budweiser. I think I read that Hendrick would not associate with alcohol sponsers, but I'm not sure. And second, I just don't think he would fit in with the Hendrick crew. Granted, I don't know him that well, or any of the Hendrick drivers, but to me, he's just totally different from them. I don't think he would be happy at Hendrick, and who knows, if he were there, he'd probably demand for %51.

I agree. With good equipment I think Casey will win more races. Kyle will also grow up and do fine.
Gibbs is the one that doesn't want the alcohol sponsor.
But could you imagine the problems poor ole Hendrick would have if Jr went there. Him, Gordon and Johnson fighting over who's gonna be top dog.

Re: Hendrick's stable too full for junior--now

They said last night that Casey Mears contract is up in 2008. They may talk nice about maturing & coming into their own, but we all know its more about what can you do for me right now. The sponsors don't want to spend their money on what might happen down the road, they want the bang for their bucks now.

Re: Hendrick's stable too full for junior--now

This thought doesn't apply just to HMS but all of those in the bidding war for Jr. What if Jr is at his best right now with the most competitive equipment ???
