| Re: Jr to RCR, a done deal..... I'm not sure I wanna bite on this yet either. But if it IS true, I'll be shocked and awed. And this weekend everybody from RCR will be running through the garage going, "Nyah, nyah, nyah, nyah nyah! |

| Re: Jr to RCR, a done deal..... Again this also depends on what site you go to. Found this on Fox Sports. Reports: Dale Jr. may be headed to RCR FOXSports.com Posted: 6 hours ago Junior may not be a free agent for long. BlogJam... Dale Earnhardt Jr. is out at DEI after this season and now the obvious question is where he's headed next. Weigh in with your thoughts here. Childress has scheduled a news conference Friday at Darlington Raceway, site of the Nextel Cup Dodge Avenger 500 (Saturday, 7 p.m. ET on FOX). Rather than drive the No. 3 car that his father, Dale Earnhardt, made famous for RCR, Earnhardt Jr. would drive the No. 33 car, according to the report. Budweiser would follow Junior from DEI to the new team. Another FOX affiliate, FOX25 in Boston, reported that Earnhardt Jr. finalized a deal with RCR on Thursday night and that an announcement would come soon. If the reports are accurate, NASCAR's most popular driver will partner up with Richard Childress, the same man for whom Dale Earnhardt Sr. starting driving in 1981. Childress and Earnhardt Sr. won six Nextel Cup championships before Earnhardt was killed on the last lap of the 2001 Daytona 500 Last edited by jks812 : 05-11-2007 at 06:27 AM. | Re: Jr to RCR, a done deal..... The story we got on the local tv sunday night said he was leaving and taking Truex with him and going to drive for the team he operates. Now whether or not this is in stone we shall see. I dont never believe rumor control. Show me the race car on the track and then I'll buy it. But the split has been needed for some time. I think he was getting as stale as an overnight Budweiser. DEI needed a new shot in the ass to get back on track. Or will this be the begining of the end of DEI? First Mikey, and now Jr. with Truex on the pull out. What about the rumors of RYR selling to DEI? Too many questions and not enough answers. |

| Re: Jr to RCR, a done deal..... Until I see these rumors on NASCAR.com, I'm not believing any of this. But it would be cool to see Jr at RCR, where Sr once was. But I hope Jr backs up his words from the press conference, and makes a legacy of himself with his own car. But like I said, I have a feeling these rumors are not true, and until I see these on NASCAR.com, I will continue to believe they aren't true. Some people like to stir up rumors to get views on their sites, so I can't believe any of this yet. |

| Re: Jr to RCR, a done deal..... I wouldn't mind seeing him drive the #3 chevy, and i always felt that if he could join any team and be successful RCR would be it, allthough I won't discard Hms, they are in the hunt i'm sure |

RCR or HMS are a long ways away from MWR. I would argue that his lack of talent AND no cup experience by Toyota are the two main reasons why Nit is not making races. Dale is not going to go somewhere that can't offer him a quality ride. Mark my words ... Bud will be in the races.
