toyota said MWR had used two of the three strikes.
does that mean the next major gooff, will result in toyota's pulling all factory support or pulling out altogether(I can't see that).

what is the third stike ??

They have a pretty good article on Nascar called"Toyota frustrated through first quarter of cup season". I don't see them backing out just yet. I think they knew what they were getting into. If they don't see improvement before the end of this year though, who knows.I'd like to see them stick it out.

I have to believe that with the dominance they have in CTS they are in cup to stay. Their next move will be that of trying to convince a real race team to switch to Toyota. At this point MWR has proven to be a mistake, but whatelse can they do now ? If they back out now they may never get the respect of a real team.

'Yota is giving notice to Mikey. Other drivers are doing better each week. There have had some good runs by the "lesser' named 'Yota drivers: example - in past week from Riggs qualifying 3rd & Reutimann w/a 15 position improvement to finish 14th. .. Mikey is a bust and they don't like it. Also, Jarrett can't seem to make a race w/o a provisional.

my bad .. age crept into the memory buckets and scrambled some things ..

What I should have written was: Blaney's good run (11th) and qualifying (10th) and Reutimann's good qualifying (14th).

Additionally, Benson and Allmendinger still running and finishing 31 & 32.

Point is only Mikey and Jarrett are performing below par .. they need to improve, Mikey most especially since he's the leader.

I think Toyota will stick out the year to see what happens. Now Blaney if I'm correct had 5th place finish for Toyota last Sun. They have alot of kinks they need to work out, but next year if they don't do any better I believe they will pull out at end of the 2008 season.

My guess is that Toyoter will fish around until they can capture the attention of a better known team/organization. Realistically MWR just doesn't have anything exceptional about them. They are a below average organization. I don't say that because of my non-love of Mikey but when you take an overall look at the organization .... they just don't have anything spectacular or anything near average.
