Four COT races, four Hendrick victories, two second-place finishes, one third and three fourths.

Its more of the fact that Chevy COT's is dominating, I mean, here is the numbers of cars that were made by chevy ford, and dodge that made the top 10 in the COT's races...

As you see of the stats It Chevy who we should be talking about in dominance, and the team that can work with Chevy's the best? who else? Hendrick... Im surprised that more teams hasn't gone for chevy bodies on their cars yet...

Watching Inside Nextel tonight and from what they said it could be the 80 something engineers they say Hendrick has working for him. I would think Chevy should be dominating, considering that it's what about 21 or 22 Chevy's in the field and what, 13 are run by the major teams (Hendrick,DEI,RCR, Gibbs).

I dont usually take much heed in what Jimmy Spencer says, but after Richmond he said the Hendrick cars "splitter" is closer to the ground on the left side than the other competitors. He said it is lower by 1 1/2-2" while in a turn, which gives it more frontal downforce. The mystery, is how HMS is doing this and still passing tech.

All "Tech inspect" measurements that we've personally/directly been involved with that deals in dimensions, particularly heights, is static. So long as met before and after the event, "Tech" is passed. Chassis response (i.e. height changes during competition) are not often regulated.

There have been however definition of required spring rates (defined in weight) used as a means to limit suspension travel. Once was teams would put very "soft / light" springs in the rear of the cars on the high speed tracks for qualifying. They'd near drag the rear bumper all the way around the track. Goal was to get the spoiler down out of the wind so its drag would not decrease the speed - again just for qualifying. After qualifying, stiffer springs were reinstalled in the car. Spec's / rule that defined spring rate minimum came in to play as well as other approachs towards having teams qualify the "same" car that would be raced.

if there running the car lower during a race, they must have found something with the suspension geometary or setup to allow them to do this.

or maybe it's that they've out tested everyone else...Hendrick makes no bones about the fact that they were the first on board with the COT.

Hendrick Motorsports is going to win all the COT races this season but one. That one race is going to be won by Joe Gibbs Racing.

grrrrrrr, its too confusing. im a tony and dale supporter but cany see the hendrick boys beeing beat.

the coverage!!??? nil!!! not a thing! a small paragraph in the weekly autosport and thats bout it.

i've managed to get the speed channel on my laptop so thats the only way i can keep up with all the news.

I had to change to Direct Tv, I had Dish Network but they sucked! It was madatory I have the Speed Channel. I have a thing for Jeff Hammond now! LOL! Can't wait till Sunday to see him!
