Still boooooooooing Gordon???????????????

Come on now, how many years has this been going on. No wonder why Nascar fans are seen as a bunch of redneck mindless can't think for ourselves idiots. Get over it allready. You guys are the reason dumb movies like Talladega Nights were made. Don't you guys realize that is the non-nascar fan community making fun of us. Just cheer for your driver and shut up allready. And no, I'm not a Gordon fan. Later

I don't see booing as a problem. As long as you are not throwing stuff. Booing goes on in every sport. Just last Monday, I was at the Phillies game, and Carlos Lee was heckled without a break all night long. Just chants of "Carlos Sucks". All night long. Not the classiest thing to do, but no harm done. Nothing too personal, or at all racial.

However, a fan threw something at the right flelder, and all the folks in the stands pointed the finger to him, and the ushers and security lead him out.

That is what I would like to see. And I have seen it at Dover.

Good point, I agree with that. However at a Baseball game you have two teams and usually 99% of of the crowd is for the team at where the game is being played. AT Nascar there is 43 raceteams and fans from 50 states and also fans from other countries. I just thought it could possibly be time to finally get over the "I hate Gordon band wagon" and show the world what a classy sport Nascar is. Would it be right for me to boo Junior just because I am fan of Johnson and my only dislike for him would be because his fans hate Hendrick drivers? NO, I have the utmost respect for Junior and what his family has done for Nascar over the years. When I bring my 10 yr old to a race I wouldn't want him to witness any of those actions at a race.

Re: Still boooooooooing Gordon???????????????

Well it has been a while since this forum has gotten into a Jeff Gordon discussion. The last few of them ended up being closed because of member bashing and getting way off topic. For those of you who are lovers of Jeff Gordon, keep in mind that this is a negative thread about him and the events over the past couple of weeks. If you are real offended remember to keep your responses about the topic. For those that hate Jeff remember to keep your responses about the topic and not other posters.

Re: Still boooooooooing Gordon???????????????

I see nothing at all wrong with booing someone. Heck I sometimes boo the ones I'm a fan of. Doesn't mean I don't like them just don't like something they did. Nobody gets hurt, I'm not using vulgar language either. And if my children learn that booing is a good way to handle a situation like that instead of throwing stuff at the other person or cussing them, then thats fine with me.
