I go to about 70 Redsox games a year, including Yankees games at Fenway. My daughter comes to about 30 of them. The difference I've seen is at Fenway if there is someone acting out to the point where I feel they are over the line, someone else already has alerted the ushers and that fan is given a warning, then he/she is tossed for another violation. Most of the time baseball fans seem to police themselves, I can't count how many times someone has cursed and realized their proximity to kids and immediately apologized for it, and censored themselves the rest of the day. At NHIS I was with my neice who was 12 and a HUGE race fan, she was terrified to wear her 24 gear and was subject to verbal assaults, mind you she's 12. I left BEFORE driver introductions and told a yellow shirt of the incident and watched them do nothing. The part that kills me is the idiots who yelled at her had no clue about the sport and were drunk college kids, who by the way eventually crossed my path under the bleachers where for my actions I was ejected. Sorry to go on there.
