This is going to sound strange, coming from a guy who has an intense dislike for anything connected with the NASCAR Waltrip Family, but...

I actually feel sorry for the guy. To fail a little, gain humility, and to get a little bit of egg on one's face is one thing. But, to fail so completely, and to look so ridiculous doing it is off the scale.

When I say, 'Have they set a suicide watch on Mikey yet?" I'm afraid I say that only partly in jest. What he's going through I wish only on politicians, criminals (not a big distinction there but I will separate the two just for conversational purposes) and terrorists. Even a Waltrip deserves a break every now and then.

Mikey needs someone to fill his place until he can get his head together. I will say this this last race with the new configurations with the engine they did Toyota did alot better. Gosh it kills me to say that! LOL!

Mikey needs to stick to television, he sucks at that too, but still he is learning first hand wat his brother went through, and thts how tough it is to be an owner/driver in nextel cup. I just hope he can atleast make a couple races the rest of the year.

the fact that 'Yota is getting their act together in the engine dept doesn't help Mikey - he needs help in the driver dept.

I saw a commercail that sums up Mikey this year. I saw a commercial that somes up Mikey's season. He's standing in front of his stock car.He's reading his fan mail. He starts talking then says "and yes doug from Minnestota i know there isn't a stop sign in turn 3." He talks some more then say "and yes Steve in Texas i know pit road speed dosen't apply the to the track." The picks up anthor letter and reads it " Dear Michael race better or your fired from Mr. N.A.Pa Then says "i wonder who thats from". That somes up Mikey's season right

Did anyone see that new commerical over the weekend on Mikey! It was funny but I think they should get someone else to drive the car and he can just be an owner.

I'm glad you said that. I think MW is having the same problem his brother had when he became a driver/owner. He can't separate the owner from the driver. It's hard for him to focus on driving knowing he owns the car, plus 2 others, something his brother didn't have to deal with. He got into a hole at Daytona and now he's trying too hard to redeem himself (my feelings based on all the qualifying wrecks).

I think you're right, he's in way over his head. It'd be easier to just step aside.

Thanks for agreeing. He went down hill in popularity since he bought his ride from Cope last year. Poor Mikey.
