Well, no matter what else, this all makes for some pretty interesting reading, that's for sure!

First I have to say that I do not hate the Wit Brothers at any cost. I do not like them because I think they are both in positions they are incapable of doing. When you are working beyond your abilities you are just in the way and making a mockery of what it is you are TRYING to do. Yes that is just my opinion. I know there are those who like Dim as an announcer. I don't. I don't think he is good at it. I think he tries to extend his actual abilities as an announcer. I have always said that "I" didn't think Nit (Mikey) was a good driver. He had success with DEI and that is it.


The rest of what you have to offer I can agree with. I dislike Tony for his attitude and I enjoy racing for what it is. The drivers are just that ... drivers. No way could I ever cheer for one exclusively and no way could I ever defend them no matter what.

I don't "seethe" at the mention of Gordon. Do I like him? No. Is he a good driver? Yes.

I just get a kick out of the relentless bashing of Dim and Nit. And I do not believe that any driver can do no wrong no matter what. Every driver, good or bad, screws up from time to time and/or says the wrong thing during their career.

The Waltrips always made me "chuckle" ... I like them. Regardless of Mikey's recent struggles, I still like him.

Perhaps it would be better to say that I have passion for some drivers, and no passion for other drivers.

If I have a passion at all it is for racing in general. I don't fancy myself as an expert at all either. I just enjoy it. I have zero passion for any one driver/team. They all have some good points and they all have some bad points. I pick and choose who and what I want and praise and complain about, where I find it to be deserving. Therefore with that said the Brothers Wit top my complaint list ...... for now. Tony always runs a close second even though I find him to be one of the most capable drivers out there.

One funny thing about Mikey, he is still -27 points in the hole. Bill Elliot is in a better position then Mike and hasn't raced yet this year...

Now lets think about this possibility. Mikey stops driving for th erest of this year and decides to return as a driver next year. Will he still owe the 27 points ???

I would think that he would.Or at least he should. I happen to like Mikey. But I do think he needs to step out of it and let someone else run it the rest of this year and maybe even next year. Starting a business is tough. And I imagine starting racing teams, especially 3 of em, is extremely rough. I think he should have put someone else in it from the start and concentrated on the business side of it.

I think Waltrip should step down and concentrate on being a team owner or maybe be a commentator or something. He has so much stress right now in his head trying to qualify he is probably thinking to himself. Why go out their I'm not going to qualify. I feel sorry for the guy!

You may not know this but I'm no Mikey fan !!! That said if he goes to the booth for cup races and works with the other Wit brother I will give serious consideration to watching the race with no sound. A man can only accept just so much !!!

LSC I already do watch the race with the sound off. what I do is turn MRN radio on and listen to that while watching the tube. It works super and no Dim Wit.
