Not really. There are a few different scenerios. If a regular member (you) posts a message that contains no links, profanity or other objectionable material it goes up immediately. There is some software in place that basically scans all posts and if key words or links are included the post goes up but only the moderators and administrators can see it. At that point we can delete or edit the post and approve it for posting. There are certain things that some people put in posts that are against forum rules and we deal with those things on a case by case basis. 99% of all posts go right to the board with no problem.

That's the bulk of it, though if anyone's really interested there are some other things involved - we can move posts from one forum to another if someone puts them in the wrong place, we can merge or seperate them, and in some of the forums there are news threads that we edit and make public to spur on discussions. They're clearly not needed here, though (27k posts and counting). There's probably some stuff I'm leaving out, but...
