As the moderator for the NASCAR Forum I attempt to keep things moving smoothly. On rare occasions a moderator will edit and/or delete posts for several different reasons, mainly because one time posters come here and try to sell their wares to us. Generally it is cell phones or medication. We also try to keep our respective forums active by creating new threads and adding posts. Luckily for me I don't have to do that. We have a great amount of activity by many, many posters. Administrators are a step higher. They have a larger job to do but similar in nature to the moderators. Basically our job is just to keep things flowing smoothly and seamlessly so that you get to enjoy GTG without interruptions. I also take a fair amount of grief from a few people but I love every second of it. Those are the ones that get taken to the GTG hauler !!! |

Not really. There are a few different scenerios. If a regular member (you) posts a message that contains no links, profanity or other objectionable material it goes up immediately. There is some software in place that basically scans all posts and if key words or links are included the post goes up but only the moderators and administrators can see it. At that point we can delete or edit the post and approve it for posting. There are certain things that some people put in posts that are against forum rules and we deal with those things on a case by case basis. 99% of all posts go right to the board with no problem. My wife thinks I am on 24/7 though !!! |
