I have noted that some have identifyied DE as a least favorite driver...in my mind, that demonstrates a myoptic view of the NASCAR game....DE has contributed much to the circuit...most noting that the sport would not be what it is without him. Sure would like to see Martin get a couple more wins and really would like to see him take the Championship...a greater, gentler gentleman has not been on the tracks since Harry Gant or 'ol # 71. He is deserving in my book. No Roush fan, just really like Martin!
I totally agree with you on that one. I am a big kenseth fan, and what gordon did to him was way out of line, and uncalled for. All matt did was to apologize, and then gordon pushed him. I AM P/O AT JEFF GORDON!!!!!

Re: Gordon Fined

I think that if Nascar is going to make it legal for drivers to knock other drivers around out there on the track they should also make it legal for them to face the consequences later. I think Jeff should have knocked the crap out of Kenseth and made it worth the $10,000. Jeff has been knocked around and ran over since he started racing on the Nascar circuit and it's about time he started taking up for himself. I also think that Kenseth should have also been fined. It seems like the whole country except me is against Jeff. I have been a fan since the first Nascar race he ran in and I will stick with him.

Re: Gordon Fined

First of all we may not be able to control what our kids hear in a public place but I would like to think that I can in my own home. So I dont buy that agrument. Secondly if we start fining everything with points where does it end? Do we do away with monetary fines and go to all points? I mean every circumstance is going to be unique, you can't have everything be so black and white. Such as if you fine Gordon points for pushing, do you take the five points that Kennesth got by finishing one position higher, then how about Kurt he ht someone too. It can be a slippery slope.

Re: Gordon Fined

I don't like the fine. For one reason:

Gordon got out of car and did something about it. Nascar wants them to stop beating each other around inside the cars. That's a good thing.

They should of just let it go. Hell, it was great for TV, so what they complaining about.

I think they should fined Matt...he cost me a **** load of points in the fantasy office pool!!

Joe

My kids weren't listening at that point & I'm glad they weren't. Sure, my kids have heard bad words but that still doesn't mean that I want them to hear it. I do what I can to keep them out of situations where they'll be exposed to the wrong things. Just becasue I can't filter 100% doesn't mean I stop trying.

And, for the most part, I don't let them watch prime time TV.

I've been a Martin fan for a long time... when he had coffee grinds in his blood... I was one of the ones that listed Earnhardt Sr. as one of my least favorite... it's more of a dislike and respect relationship... if ya know what I mean...

I agree though with what you're saying... and Mark is off to one of his best starts ever... and he's been notorious for his strong efforts in the last half of the season...

I hope the kids keep fighting amongst themselves while the ole man does backflips past them...

Jeff could have at least took his helmet off...

I'm more inclined to agree about the fine stuff... let em go... but drop the gloves first...

Matt was just walking up to him to apoligize, he never pushed him. I don't believe he even touched Gordon after Gordon pushed first, I think Matt was in shock, from the look on his face.
