| Re: Nascar/Fox in Trouble Re: Language I think it needs to be the television stations resposiblity to make sure that this things dont make it to air. I know that kids hear these things everyday but in somethings you have no control, but some people would like to watch a race without exposing their kids to that sort of language. |

| Re: Nascar/Fox in Trouble Re: Language I was wondering if that little burp was going to cause the do-gooders to get in an uproar. I heard it and it was during a very emotional time for that team. I dont think the networks should be evesdropping on their conversations during the heat of battle.

| Re: Nascar/Fox in Trouble Re: Language Another drawback of fines and such for events such as this is that the teams are not let the media as close to prevent things like that. Which cost us the inside info we like to have. |

This just reminded me of Mike Wallace and (I think) Shane Hmiel, they crashed and after that the media was taping their conversation. Mike Wallace was really po'd and swore, of course the camera caught that and Mike was penalized. |

| Re: Nascar/Fox in Trouble Re: Language Okay, back to the subject, Fox says that there was an "equipment malfunction" and that's why it aired. They usually listen to it first before it airs. And Kevin Manion, the crew won't be fined because it was Fox's error. Good. |

| Re: Nascar/Fox in Trouble Re: Language Someone please remind me what hapened to JR when he said the naughty word on TV ????? Here's hoping that justice is served and is equal for all men. Evesdropping is something we all want and there is a way that it can be done and still keep the do-gooders happy. I'm sure we are all familiar with the 7 second delay. If Fox or any of the networks want to listen in the least they could do is delay the audio transmissions from the teams so it can be bleeped. |

| Re: Nascar/Fox in Trouble Re: Language When I heard this, I mused that some cock-a-mamie outfit would find some umbrage...this crazy U.S. allow too much of the wacko's to rule and get involved. Let us NOT forget that racing is a rough and tumble sport, attitudes are liable to get heated...what goes on between the driver, his crew , owners and spotters is damn well none of anyone's business. While I appreciate the ability to "get inside" the 'what's going on' ...we should remember that we are risking that kind of language. Yes, as mentioned above, maybe the conversation should be monitored before airing, but let's face it..."goody two-shoes" should not be able to dictate the vernacular of the sport...let's get real!! If the team is penalized in any way...THAT would be wrong...they were doing their business and should not be held accountable for someone eavesdropping...again, let's get real. NASCAR is on the brink of censorship the likes the Catholic Church could not uphold. Crap!! |
