| Re: Nascar/Fox in Trouble Re: Language I don't think the crew should be fined or get in any trouble. The radio was made for the crew and drivers not for the fans. It is to talk about the car and let out frustration. In no way should it be anyone but the networks fault. |

| Re: Nascar/Fox in Trouble Re: Language Someone made a comment about Jr's fine 2 years ago, about it being live. FYI, you can broadcast a live interview, or anything else intended to be live, ie. the SUPER BOWL the last 2 years, with a small delay to give people time to bleep out undesirables and not lose the whole "live" nomenclature. Fox/NBC, whoever, can play a race "live", with a few second delay, and no one will be any the wiser. It will, however, give the network enough time to pull out whatever they don't want to hit the air. Personally, I think the networks should get fined not anyone associated with NASCAR when a driver or crew member swears and it makes it on the air. It's their job to stop that before it gets out, not the crews job to censor their emotions in the heat of the moment. |

| Re: Nascar/Fox in Trouble Re: Language The BIG difference in Jr's slip and this one is that the crew chief was talking to his driver without knowledge that he was being aired, Jr' had a microphone stuck in his face. |

| Re: Nascar/Fox in Trouble Re: Language ^^^^^^^^^this is true radio is for driver team owner communication--not for the public that should not have been aired 20 seconds after the wreck...so not smart your bound to get some emitions doing that _rose |

| Re: Nascar/Fox in Trouble Re: Language I promise I'm not stalking ya rose... but we agree again... I think in this day and age it's easier to talk to your kids about what is appropriate language rather than try and shield them from it... these kids know more due to the internet and such than us 40+ did at ten... oh yeah... and I knew plenty...

It seems that it is all about emotions. Jr gets the wrath of NASCAR for a bad word but Stewart gets nothing from his attempt to injure another driver at Daytona. And always thought that justice was supposed to be applied equally to all ???? Wrong again. |

| Re: Nascar/Fox in Trouble Re: Language I have to chime in on this one... Has anyone ever heard the expression "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me"? Our Country's morals are back-a55ward, if you ask me. Yates: At least you've got it right. How can people get upset about a WORD and not get upset about violence? I'd rather have my kid cursed-at than beat-up. And, along those lines, (You may disagree here, Yates) I'd rather they see a Tit than watch someone kill someone else (which occurs in just about every movie these days). The former being a gift from God, the latter being the devil's work. Let's stop acting like kindergarteners: snickering over boobs and dirty words, and start trying to reduce our worldly-unsurpassed violent crime record. Or else, I'll kill you.
