Your own race cars.

I was sitting here wondering how many of the people on this forum have there own race cars. also what class do you run in. It don't matter whether you run full time or part time.

I have 2 race cars both are dirt cars one is what we call "Bomber" witch is stock with roll cage no wider tires than "60" series and no jack screws also must have a 350ci with stock heads and intake. and a 650 carb.
My second is in what we call "Thunder" witch you still have a 350ci witch you can run any factory head and intake you can have a 750 carb with "50" series tires and jack bolts. Both of my race cars are set up on late 70s camaros.

I would love to read about any of your race cars.

Re: Your own race cars.

I have a few sitting around here:
  • 2005 asphalt SLM Pontiac Grand Prix (5 star ABC body) on a late '90's Lefthander chassis with a 352 c.i. 9:1 GM v8 w/390 VDL carb & dry sump, 10" wheels & tires, T-10 trans, Winter's quick change and a 22 gallon fuel cell in the back. my son drives .. I'm "owner" .. a picture or two here. bought the original car from Rich Bickle - it's won the Snowball 3 times with Rich driving.
  • I don't know the year, but it's a dwarf car, body is a miniturized replica of a 34 Ford coupe. Has a Yamaha FS1100 engine with a Toyota Corolla rear end, modified to fit the chassis. for my grandson to drive, but he's not doing well in school so.....
  • Building a 1986 Monte Carlo Aero Street/Super Stock. Right now only a frame with a Lefthander cage on it. Body is being extricated from it's donor chassis. this is the one we plan to "have fun" with
reason they're sitting around is a friend gave us 3 boats,1969, 1974, 1984 in need of restoration. His wife is making him get rid of all his "junk" in exchange for a brand new 18' Sea Ray center console fishing boat.

that and the SLM has no place to race in Texas... (another story for another time.)
