| Aussie V8's I know that this isnt a Nascar topic but maybe it could be related if we talk about the rear wing The next round in the series is in New Zealand, and my hometown V8 Supercars I'm actually working that weekend although I will be getting a close up look at them ( and taking a few pics ) as we are the freight agents toload them into a 747 freighter to take them back over the Tasman (sea) to Australia. It the last race at Pukekohe as next year they are going to street circuit in a town 50 miles south

I especially like the fact that your V8 Series uses cars that actually resemble the cars seen on the street. Do they have a Grand Touring Series down there? I know I'm going to catch a lot of flack for saying this, but, to me, some of the best racing action I've seen was in the European Grand Touring Series.

I still maintain that the lowest classes at the local tracks, and the grand touring divisions, today offer about the only authentic stockcar racing available. The Grand touring cars are pushing the envelope on that one, but they do have actual doors and lights on the things. |
