If I remember correctly, Ross once told me how to report spamming to him via a link that was in the post. Now I can't seem to find it.

Another reason we see more spam is because of our popularity. Those that spam look for well traveled websites and GTG is well used and, again, the NASCAR Forum is very popular.

Yes and no. It was likely one of two tactics professional spammers use, which Ross (the head admin) has done a great job educating us about. It could have been a set up question where a "different user" would've come in and posted a link to the answer had you not beaten him/her to it, or it could've just been a test to see if they could get a post in or not. Believe me, I've seen some strange posts around here that, while not technically spam, were so off-topic and out of the blue that they had to have been related somehow and were treated as such.
