All this Navy talk reminds me of this little story:

This is the transcript of the ACTUAL radio conversation between the
British and the Irish, off the coast of Kerry, Oct 98. Radio conversation
released by the Chief of Naval Operations 10-10-98:

IRISH:

Please divert your course 15 degrees to the South, to avoid a
collision.

BRITISH:

Recommend you divert your course 15 degrees to the North, to
avoid a collision.

IRISH:

Negative. You will have to divert your course 15 degrees to
the South to avoid a collision.

BRITISH:

This is the Captain of a British navy ship. I say again,
divert YOUR course.


IRISH: Negative. I say again, You will have to divert YOUR course.

BRITISH:

THIS IS THE AIRCRAFT CARRIER HMS BRITANNIA! THE SECOND
LARGEST SHIP IN THE BRITISH ATLANTIC FLEET. WE ARE ACCOMPANIED
BY THREE DESTROYERS, THREE CRUISERS, AND NUMEROUS SUPPORT
VESSELS. I DEMAND THAT YOU CHANGE YOUR COURSE 15 DEGREES NORTH,
I SAY AGAIN,THAT IS 15 DEGREES NORTH, OR COUNTER-MEASURES WILL BE

Very good... only the HMS Brittania isnt the second largest vessel in Her Majesty's Navy, so that kinda taints the story...

Lighthouse...? Remember that its an Irish lighthouse.... probably 3 miles out to sea beyond the rocks!!!

I did still put my money on Beckham.... L.A. did, 250 million, just think what NASCAR could have done with that!!!

Ahhh.... the Ark Royal, a floating legacy of what should have been.... who needs it when you can take out an Irish lighthouse from 3000 miles away... OOOppps!!!

So riddle me this: Martinsville... they are running at 93 miles an hour.. do you need 770 horsepower...? My wife drives at that speed on the local highway..... no, just doesnt turn left too well, but I just grab the 'oh sh*t' handle and pray!!

Well, it started with a GTG get together, then morphed into the Navy, then morphed into a joke with LSC (my fault).
