When you have a race, someones gonna win.....and its usually the fastest

They're proving to be the organization to beat thats for sure

Re: Hendrick Motorsports winning 4 in a row

One point that has been brought up was that possibly Rick Hendricks may have given the order to not take out JJ. Since we don't know that one way or another it is tough to discuss something that may not be factual. Think about this. Of those two drivers/teams who has done the most for HMS ??? When you consider "the most" you need to consider many issues. Money, popularity, wins, championships etc. It may look as though I'm leaning towards Jeff but I'm just using those catagories as examples. The one catagory that would be unfair to consider is future pluses in any catagory. Since the future wins, $$$ and so on cannot be guaranteed bringing possibilities into the equation wouldn't be realistic.

Basically would Rick have told Jeff "do not take him out" or do you think he may have just been silent and let whatever happens ... happen ???

As an owner, I know what I'd do. No doubt I'd want them finishing 1-2 instead of having one spin out the other to take the checkered flag and having the other quite possibly finish out of the top 10, if at all. Would my drivers be happy about it? Well, the guy finishing 2nd probably wouldn't. But I pay the bills. He'd get over it.

But consider this ... Jeff and Jimmy both know that HMS would be a much lesser team without them. You know how players from major league stick & ball sports can be with their attitudes ... well NASCAR drivers can be the same. "He needs me more than I need him" attitude !!! In the heat of a battle the driver may just not hear the call to back off due to all the noise in the car. I know we'll never know but the scenerio is interesting.

I think that the race was interesting, but the race scenario was kinda strange to me

Well look foward to it, TY. While your Yates cars struggle all season, it will be the usual HMS domination, and HMS bringing home their 7th championship.

Gotta give TY lots of credit. They are rebuilding from the ground up but I hope they are successful this year .... just for her sake.

Well, the Gibbs cars have been running almost as well... maybe they'll catch up. But at this point it's hard to see a driver outside of those two teams actually winning a COT race. They're the only ones who seem to really have it figured out, if you ask me.

Once again that points to one of the inequities in all sports. If you've got enough money you can buy a victory/championship. It certainly isn't fair but I don't think there is a major sport that doesn't do it.
