The prefered line for passing today was on the outside. Everyone that tried it inside failed or slid up the track. There is no reason Juan should back down but at the same there is no reason to push your car into a position that it and you cannot handle. Once again I fall back onto my creed that if you can pass me cleanly then by all means do it. Creating an incident/accident isn't real racing by "MY" and I quote "MY" standards.

I dont remember saying the "prefered" line. But the low line is the one that JPM was using with Tony. After seeing replay after replay of the incident, I think it is being blown out of proportion. It was a very minor bump, yes Tony spun, but its not like Juan got into his left rear and turned him. He was clearly under him and without that minor bobble there would have been no wreck, or discussion about it now.

I do think it's funny that Tony says he should be in the back gaining experience. If you're car's fast, you go to the front. I'm shocked Tony even said that. Hell, he's not perfect, he spun all by himself later on! JPM is a Big Dog, and he wants to run with them. No, he wants to beat them!

I will agree that it was a minor bobble. I will agree that Juan didn't intentionally wreck him. Tony has a history of saying stupid things. What I will argue over is that when Juan saw that he was sliding up the track he should have backed off. If you are going to race with the big dogs then you gotta act like a big dog. That was a dangerous place on the track to be passing. Moves such as that remind me of Ernie Irvan. He finally got the message when his peers got in his face about his driving style. Today too many drivers drive foolishly. 3500 LBS at 140 + MPH's is nothing to be playing with.

That kind of minor bobble has happened at every Superspeedway, by every driver. Its a game of inches, if Tony would have been up another 6", or JPM would have been down another 6", we wouldnt be having this discussion.

Are you watching Wind Tunnel? Tony said he isnt having fun anymore, and wants to retire........then someone poked him in the ribs, and he said "stop that". Probably a Home Depot rep whom he is under contract. I thought it was funny. One thing I admire about Tony, is he speaks his mind...........even if its goofy or not politically correct.
