Re: Michael Waltrip-Toyota Racing

Nice day for MWR and Toyota both today in the Busch race. All three (Toyota's) had "episodes" that put them to the rear that had to be overcome.

Will be interesting to see how long it takes before Cup teams get things figured out.

As I've said all along Toyota will have a hill to climb before it even begins to have any consistency in Cup racing. Since I'm not an insider I really have no idea what their troubles are but it's more than evident to me that my prediction that they wouldn't do well because of the lack of cup experience, is now showing itself to be true. Hopefully at some point in time it will get turned around. Not because I like Toyota but because I like to see eveyone share in the glory.

I understand we are only a few races into this season but for them to turn it around next year they need to make some dramatic improvements THIS year. It may involve something as simple as driver changes. I'm sure they are looking at all areas but to create a fan base you need to show some positive direction. That doesn't necessarily mean they need to win 3 in a row but they've got to at least start getting into races on time.

I don't think it will be this year. They will need a year to get the kinks out! Maybe next year if the team doesn't get dismantled by then! LOL!
