Vickers burned at Bristol

According to the Associated Press, "Brian Vickers suffered second degree burns to his feet when an exhaust pipe broke midway through the 500-mile race at Bristol Motor Speedway... He was walking gingerly Tuesday during an appearance at Team Red Bull headquarters, but team officials said he would be prepared to race this weekend at Martinsville Speedway." Think Vickers really will be able to compete on Sunday?

WELL it's true about feeling better once you get in car, you kinda just forget about the pain.
I remember climbing in my car four days after appendix surgey, hurt like heck before I pulled on the track after that I guess I was having to much to feel the pain. on the ride home I realized that maybe I should have let dad drive that night.

Yeah ... they'll have him all wrapped up and give him some extra protection in the foot area of the car. This isn't a first.

I remember another driver that had the same thing happen. They will wrap his feet really good and rig up some heat shields for his feet, but he will drive but they will probably have a relief driver standing by due to the ammount of pedal use at Martinsville. He will try his best ot tough it out though.

evidently it bothered him
he was the slowest of all qualifiers
so he gets more time to heal before he "puts the foot to the metal" again
