Ironic, huh? Yes, Sr. died doing what he loved at the track he had the most wins. I'd bet he would prefer to go out in a blaze than to just fade away.

I also have seen much worse wrecks where the driver walked away. It really was a "freak" accident. I felt so bad for Sterling. He was receiving death threats after crashing Sr. Ridiculous!

I still say blocking is ok for the win.

used to be they paid extra bucks to be the leader at mid race. Gordon usually found a way to collect that check even when his car wasn't so good that week.

Gordon's not my favorite racer, but I'd have to say he's the one I respect (and fear) the most 'cause he always finds a way to finish better than he should have.

Yup. Forgot all about that "leading at halfway bonus", and how Gordon would manage to take it.

To say that I'm not a fan of Gordon is an understatement. However, as you said, the fact that he always finds a way to finish better than he should have can be attributed to his driving talent.
