Talking The 'big' teams versus the 'or so rans'

when is a car a good car, and a good driver a great driver.... its when a team has faith in his abilities...

Ryan... Kurt Bush...??? Come on, he has the balls to win, just give him a car!! Kurt is good... but not good enough.

Penske racing... wake up... Kurt is only racing because of Kyle!!

Kurt was in the cup series before Kyle and it wasn't with Penske. Faith in abilities is admirable but if the abilities aren't good enough to win then faith in them won't get the job done. Same for a great driver. If all of the pieces are not in place it just won't happen.

right on!

if memory serves, Kurt said Kyle was better than him BEFORE Kyle ever appeared on the NA$CAR scene. Maybe so, but Kyle still hasn't "mellowed" enough to finish races. Kurt came to Penske with a cloud over his head. He's worked thru that and is now adapting a team that had been with another driver for years (remember Rusty Wallace?) to his own style. It takes time to do that. Unlike Ryan, Kurt still manages to be near the front at the end of almost every race. Ryan is fast, but Kurt is steady.

Penske is a 1st class operation. If anything, they suffer from being too diversified: look at all the different racing related things they have going from race tracks to wind tunnels to parts to education (shock schools) to teams in almost every type of racing. Sometimes it's easy to forget how really big Penske is. NA$CAR isn't their only activity, nor, I suspect, their primary operation.

Ryan just doesnt get the kit to win... it burns out after only 30% of the race is complete... Penske, give him something he can depend on! As for Kurt...? Back of grid tomorrow!
